Honestly WG-Gesucht and Immoscout24 are your best bets. Set up email alerts for new listings and respond within the first 30 minutes. Landlords get 200+ replies.07:16 AM

I found my flat through a Facebook group actually β 'Berlin Flats for Expats'. Decent listings and less competition than the big platforms.07:41 AM

Also try Kleinanzeigen. Old school but sometimes gems there. I found my place in NeukΓΆlln for β¬850 warm through it last year.06:56 AM

Quick question β has anyone dealt with a landlord asking for 3 months deposit upfront? Is that normal here?06:56 AM

Max 3 Kaltmieten (cold rent) is the legal limit. Anything more is illegal. Also they must return it within 6 months after move-out (minus any deductions).07:11 AM

For all the newcomers: open a German bank account ASAP because many landlords won't accept international transfers for rent. N26 works fine for this.06:56 AM

Seconded on N26. Set it up before you even land if you can. Digital process, works from abroad.07:26 AM
