Tech job market here feels strong. LinkedIn Amsterdam has tons of listings. Any tips on salary negotiation? Coming from India I'm worried about underselling myself.06:56 AM

Rule of thumb: whatever they offer, counter with 10-15% more. Dutch companies expect negotiation. Also ask about the 30% ruling if you qualify — big tax benefit.07:26 AM

30% ruling is massive. Basically 30% of your salary is tax-free for 5 years. Make sure to check if you qualify when negotiating.07:46 AM

I knew about the 30% ruling but didn't realize you could use it as leverage in negotiation. Smart!06:56 AM

Also ask about extra holidays ('vakantiedagen') and holiday allowance ('vakantiegeld' — 8% of annual salary paid in May). Unique to Netherlands.06:56 AM
